The Aquarist's Guide

The motivation behind this series of articles is to provide some information which may be needed by beginners, so that they can be better prepared as they start this hobby of keeping and raising aquatic pets.  They are some topics that I thought would be helpful.   I have tried to write them in a hopefully understandable way.  If the reader is unclear about any statements I make and wish for clarifications, please drop me a mail at Pacific Betta.

Understanding Filtration briefly explains the nitrogen cycle and the basic principles behind filtration.

Watery Games discuss some ways of controlling water parameters.

Food and Nutrients look at some dietary constraints that the aquarist may face.

UGF? looks at the potentially explosive arguments for and against the use of undergravel filters.
