This page is for buyers located outside Singapore and are interested in getting our betta through mail. All enquiries under this section are handled on a case-by-case basis. Generally, Pacific Betta does not ship to Australia, Africa or South America.
Customers will have to bear the huge shipping costs involved. Pacific Betta will try to ship in the fastest courier service that is within reasonable costs. Speedpost provides a good estimate on the costs of shipping. As a guideline, use a 2kg weight for up to 4 fishes and add SGD1 per fish (packaging costs). Please understand that this is merely an estimate, the exact costs do vary! If you are comfortable with the estimated shipping rates, email us with your location, postal code and the number of fishes you need, and we will get back to you.
Depending on the distance between us, shipment of the fishes may take an awful lot of time. For all orders, please state clearly the order codes and the quantity (and sex) of fishes required for each code. Do remember to include your particulars (name, email/telephone no etc). Minimum amount for mail orders is SGD50 (not including shipping charges). All orders should be sent to pacificbetta@yahoo.com.
Upon acknowledgement of your order, Pacific Betta will reserve the best fishes (in our opinion) from the available stocks and hold them for a maximum of 10 Singapore working days. Payment should be received within this period or the customer will be assumed to have forgone his/her order. To protect the interest of all genuine buyers, customers who forgo their purchase orders will be penalised for future mail orders. All transactions will be conducted in Singapore currency. We do not accept personal cheques. Money orders or bank drafts are acceptable.
Pacific Betta will not be responsible for the well being of the fishes delivered. Pacific Betta does pledge that we do not sell runts or fishes with any known deformities and that all fishes are healthy at the time of packaging. The customer will regretably have to bear all risks involved in the shipping. Pacific Betta strongly suggests that the customer refer to the check list below before ordering:
1. Weather permissive for shipping? The fishes will most likely be held at the customs for some time. During this period, and also during domestic transportation, the fishes will be exposed to the weather. Although the shipping box is relatively well insulated, a very cold or hot day may kill the fishes. We do not recommend shipment for weather outside the range of 20 to 30 degree Celsius.
2. Customs: The customs of some countries are very particular about live cargo. Most however do allow small shipments of less than 20 fishes to get through. Pacific Betta will not be responsible if your customs stop the import of the betta. So please check with your local customs before ordering!
3. Length of shipment: Generally speaking, there is a strong correlation between geographical distance and the time needed to ship the fishes. Betta are hardy fishes, but a long shipment makes them much more fragile.
Last but not least, Pacific Betta reserves
the right to turn down any purchase orders.
